Voltarol Active Spray targets pain directly, relieving it at the source and reducing inflammation. Unlike many muscle heat rubs, Voltarol Active Spray contains Diclofenac, an anti-inflammatory that reduces inflammation in muscles and joints, rather than just heating the skin and muscles.
- Targeted pain relief, relieves pain and inflammation of joints and surrounding tissues.
- Contains diclofenac, an anti-inflammatory that reduces inflammation in muscles and joints.
- Cutaneous spray solution.
Diclofenac belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). It works by blocking the effect of chemicals called Cyclo-Oxygenase Enzymes (COX) that help to make other chemicals in the body, called Prostaglandins. These Prostaglandins are produced at the areas of injury or damage, and cause pain and inflammation. As Voltarol Active Spray blocks the effect’s of COX Enzymes, fewer Prostaglandins develop, meaning pain and inflammation will sufficiently ease.
